Our experts from the Sustainability Department successfully implemented the certification for the first sustainable construction site of the PORR Group in Salzburg. The "DGNB Sustainable Building Site" certificate focuses on construction operations and considers all activities that are the responsibility of the general contractor.
This covers a wide range of topics, such as construction site organization, resource conservation, health and social issues, and communication with the local public:
Construction site organization
Protect resources
Health and social
Communication with the local public
The "DGNB sustainable building site" certificate is a new system from the DGNB that does not yet exist in Austria. Thus, the construction site of the PORR Salzburg branch is a pioneer in this field. Further construction sites as pilot projects will follow. This will enable us to learn from experience and establish a new building standard at PORR. The first pilot construction sites will start as early as October.

Climate crises are one of the biggest challenges of our time, and we all need to take action - for example, by reducing the carbon footprint of buildings. One way: The Carbon Reduction Path. This method is a strategic approach to reducing carbon dioxide emissions in order to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement and limit global warming to below 2 degrees Celsius.
The term "stranded assets" has recently gained prominence.
The main focus here is on environmental and climate-related factors that can render buildings worthless in a comparatively short time. Without decarbonization measures, the majority of properties are in danger of becoming stranded assets if, as expected, CO2 emissions are audited in the future and any penalties become due.
To prevent your property from becoming stranded, we will be happy to analyze it and draw up a climate protection roadmap. Contact our experts now:
