The structural engineering department produces verifiable structural calculations and reports for auxiliary building measures in building construction and civil engineering projects. Our range of services is characterised by a high degree of flexibility: the interdisciplinary teamwork with BIM and the close interconnections between the construction site, cost assessment and scheduling have created a special approach in terms of economy and efficient construction. This allows us to achieve significant reductions in terms of time, material resources and concrete grades during the planning phase.  

In the field of civil engineering, we carry out the structural analysis of temporary construction pit systems, support structures, soil improvements, bridges, specialised foundations, etc. In the field of building construction, our particular area of expertise lies in the structural analysis of reinforced concrete and steel structures, construction with prefabricated components and the rehabilitation of old buildings. Solid construction, skeleton construction or space structures: we use the load-bearing structure best suited to the building’s requirements and function.

Our integral approach to planning entails close cooperation between all trades. Specialists in building construction, infrastructure, foundation engineering and cost estimation either work in-house at PORR Design & Engineering or collaborate closely with us, allowing us to conduct structural engineering tasks with a high degree of efficiency. We have been using Building Information Modelling for this purpose for several years now. Cross-departmental work with the BIM model has a number of advantages.
