Planning during ongoing operations at BMW
At the BMW Group plant in Munich, construction for the new era of mobility is in full swing: production of the all-electric “New Class” will start here in 2026 - and we at pde are helping to lay the foundations.
At the heart of an active production site, with around 1,000 vehicles and 6,500 employees every day, we have been commissioned with the general planning for service phases 3-5, including planning during construction. What counts here? Close coordination in the partnering model and maximum precision.
Here are some of the highlights:
- Coordinated in a partnering model: client, planner and construction company pull together - for smooth processes despite limited space.
- Digitally networked: With BIM-supported planning, all project participants work in a digital twin. This creates transparency, prevents errors and increases planning reliability.
- Efficiently timed: an ambitious schedule meets our LEAN methodology - from design planning to execution.
- Systematic dismantling: Thanks to model-based analysis, we were able to identify pollutant quantities at an early stage and optimize disposal logistics accordingly.
The result: optimal planning including a perfect transition to construction - structured, digital and based on partnership.
