Following our successful collaboration on the Koralm Tunnel, we are now contributing our planning expertise to the Semmering Base Tunnel on behalf of the PORR/Rhomberg consortium.
As part of the new southern line, the Semmering Base Tunnel provides a fast and safe connection between Lower Austria and Styria. The client ÖBB Infrastruktur AG commissioned ARGE with the railroad engineering equipment for the 27.3-kilometer, twin-tube tunnel. We as pde are realizing a partial service of the total planning volume.
Specifically, our BIM experts are modeling the entire shell tunnel complex based on laser scans and preparing it for our planning department for the execution, factory and assembly planning of the 50Hz systems and other trades. All planning measures are planned using BIM methods right down to the required level of detail. The resulting digital construction model of the entire tunnel system, the cross-passages, the technical buildings and the emergency stop forms the central starting point for deriving the assembly plans, for the target/actual comparison during execution and for handing over the data after completion.
In addition, the LEAN methods used by our experts ensure transparent and efficient implementation of the planning phase. The process analyses and milestone planning have already begun.
We are proud to contribute our expertise to this important civil engineering project and wish the entire project team every success!
