We helped the modern office tower with roof terrace at Sellerstrasse 17 in Berlin become fit for the future and achieved two important certifications with the entire project team: Following the WiredScore Gold certificate, LEED Platinum certification has now also been achieved - the highest award under the international LEED standard.
What makes Platinum so special compared to Gold?
While LEED Gold stands for 60-79 points in the rating system, LEED Platinum requires at least 80 points - proof of outstanding environmental performance, innovative planning and a consistent focus on sustainability.
Three success factors have made the difference:
Materials & resources: Use of emission-tested building products and responsible use of building materials - with regard to origin, processing, transportation and life cycle.
LEED Platinum is not a product of chance, but the result of teamwork - especially in close cooperation with the Berlin branch of the PORR Group Germany - experience and a clear sustainability claim.
