Since early 2020, PORR Bau GmbH, Building Construction . Vienna branch has been working on construction of a hotel in Vienna for the prizeotel chain. The modern hotel will have almost 300 rooms and will be a solid construction made from reinforced concrete.

Execution with LEAN Construction
The LEAN department has been implementing LEAN Construction methods (in project implementation) from the outset. We are also responsible for the finishing phase. Weekly PEP meetings are part of the work schedule and will continue throughout the shell construction and finishing phases.
This approach provides benefits for everyone involved in the project:
- better coordination;
- smooth construction management through an agreed plan for the week ahead;
- prompt problem rectification through intensive preparation (implementation phase) with everyone involved from the very beginning, and optimised use of resources.
Not only has this increased efficiency in terms of the project schedule, the integration of all subcontractors has also improved overall communication – a side effect of which is a positive impact on the satisfaction of all involved.
