ElbX is a tunnel structure for crossing under the Elbe as part of TenneT's SuedLink project. At a depth of around 20 metres, the PORR Group, together with Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau AG, is constructing a 5.2-kilometre-long tunnel in the ‘ARGE Tunnel ElbX’ consortium, in which electrical media will be laid – a crucial component for supplying Germany with renewable energy.
