Video: Update on the ElbX project
Our BIM expert Lisa Wronski, together with Marco Höckelmann from German grid operator TenneT, provides exciting insights into the digital planning and implementation of this extraordinary infrastructure project.
ElbX is a tunnel structure for crossing under the Elbe as part of TenneT's SuedLink project. At a depth of around 20 metres, the PORR Group, together with Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau AG, is constructing a 5.2-kilometre-long tunnel in the ‘ARGE Tunnel ElbX’ consortium, in which electrical media will be laid – a crucial component for supplying Germany with renewable energy.
Our BIM experience is relied upon for successful implementation:
- Overall BIM coordination for model-based planning and execution coordination and review
- Visualisation of complex building structures
- Derivation of precise 2D plans
- Creation of an as-built model as a digital representation
Thanks to the excellent cooperation between all project participants, the targeted use of BIM is already ensuring more efficient planning, smooth execution and greater transparency for everyone involved.
