Update from the construction site of the Zentralberufsschule Aspern

The new central vocational school in Seestadt Aspern is Vienna's largest school construction project, designed to accommodate up to 7,500 students and apprentices as well as 350 employees. Three buildings with a gross floor area of over 48,000 m² will bring seven vocational schools under one roof.

We at pde are right on track: the model is finished, our architectural planning for the shell construction is complete, and we have already reached the second floor in the interior work. At the same time, our structural engineering team is currently delivering the formwork and reinforcement plans for the first basement directly to the construction site.

Most of the geothermal probes have already been drilled on site and the first floor slabs have been concreted – an important milestone on the way to Vienna's largest new school building.

We are delighted to be helping shape the future of learning in Vienna with our interdisciplinary planning expertise – from general planning with architecture and structural engineering to sustainability, timber construction, building services, construction preparation, BIM, and LEAN.
