LeopoldQuartier - Built sustainably, successfully handed over
The handover of the 178 apartments in Building D of the LeopoldQuartier has now been completed—another significant milestone in hybrid wood-concrete residential construction.
The residential building was constructed using load-bearing timber-frame exterior walls, cross-laminated timber (CLT) floors and walls, wood-concrete composite elements in the attic, and a reinforced concrete service core. The high proportion of wood and the high degree of prefabrication make a significant contribution to sustainable and resource-efficient construction.

With its buildings C and D and a total of 253 residential units, LQ Living is the largest multi-story timber-frame residential building completed to date in Austria. We at pde are delighted to have contributed our expertise in timber construction to this special project. Many thanks to everyone involved in the project—especially the PORR Group and UBM Development—for the excellent collaboration leading up to the handover.
