Sustainability at the highest level

LEED Gold for ZAM Spaces

We are proud that the MK 2.3 ‘ZAM Spaces’ building section in Munich-Freiham has now been officially certified to LEED Gold. This adds a globally recognised standard to the DGNB Gold certification already achieved in autumn 2025.

<pAs pde, we actively supported the entire certification process on behalf of our client, the ROSA-ALSCHER Group, under the project management of Simon Dellacher and Thomas Thallinger. Our aim: to consistently align the heart of the new Freiham district with sustainability

Our services included, amongst other things:

  • Construction to the KfW Efficiency Building 55 standard
  • Heating and cooling sails for individual room temperature control
  • Heat supply via a low-temperature district heating network using geothermal energy
  • Curtain-wall facades with high thermal insulation
  • Extensive green roofs & intensive green courtyards as recreational areas
  • Large-scale PV system for self-generation of electricity
  • Rainwater harvesting for the irrigation of green spaces

As part of the LEED certification process, energy efficiency, resource conservation, site quality and indoor environmental quality were assessed.

A particular highlight: ZAM Spaces is one of pde’s first projects to have undergone EU taxonomy verification for new buildings – with a positive assessment from the DGNB as part of the ESG verification. The project thus meets not only environmental but also regulatory requirements for sustainable investment.

With a gross floor area of around 38,700 m², ZAM Spaces combines modern office, retail and catering spaces – a true showcase project for sustainable urban development that combines sustainable architecture, energy efficiency and long-term value retention.
