BMW: Building the future in the heart of Munich
The future is being created in the heart of Munich: the BMW Group main plant is being prepared for the “New Class” - the new, all-electric generation of vehicles that will begin production in Munich from 2026.
The BMW Group is extensively modernizing the plant for this major project - during ongoing operations and under challenging conditions. Two new production buildings - TMO (partial assembly) and TLO (partial logistics) - are being built on a total area of 185,000 m². These new buildings will optimize the assembly and logistics processes and enable a production process on three levels, including in-house seat production.
A real lighthouse project that places high demands on planning, coordination and cooperation - which is why the partnering model is used: the client BMW, we as planners and the PORR Group as construction company have been working together transparently and in partnership since the beginning.
As pde, we have been at the forefront since 2022: With a broad spectrum of our core competencies, we are actively involved in shaping the complex conversion and new construction processes - from strategic planning to implementation on the construction site, which is scheduled for completion in summer 2026.
