1st place in architecture competition "New elementary school in the Böhlerleben district"
Our design team around Fabian Kirchner won the competition for a four-room elementary school with doubt hall in Meerbusch with the design of a wood hybrid building.
The entry was created in close cooperation with Lukas König and Simons & Hinze Landscape Architects, complemented by the technical expertise of the pde departments Fire Protection, Technical Building Services, Structural Design and Sustainability as well as the Wood Construction department of the PORR Group.
For the 20-member jury, "the work convinces with a clear structure and a suitable urban planning approach. The possibilities for openness and retreat in the interior and exterior areas are positively evaluated."
